Ed Hultberg, Vietnam

While serving in Vietnam, Ed Hultberg was in charge of transporting civilians employed to do mundane tasks on the base. He respected and made friends with the local Vietnamese. One day, while driving the civilians back to their village, Hultberg saw a fire had started.

Listen to Ed Hultberg as he recalls his relationship with the local Vietnamese. One afternoon he organized a bucket brigade to put out a fire in the nearby village. The grateful residents gave him a special gift that he still remembers over 40 years later.
